The PAGE Group was set up in 1990 by George & Christine Hayward. In1999 George and Christine’s son Brian joined the company. Between them they have a wealth of knowledge and experience that spans 5 decades. Although the market and technology has changed dramatically over the years our goals have remained constant.
Our aim is to provide you exactly what you need to excel, the best catalogue (both paper and web), featuring the best products, using the best suppliers.
In addition we will always strive to be innovative and at the forefront of technology. We were the first Catalogue Group. We were the first group to offer a software solution for administration, the first to have an online catalogue, the first to give a retrospective discount and still the only group that can honestly say that “The products that are featured in the catalogue deserve to be there” as they are selected on merit and not because a supplier has paid to show them.
PAGE offers membership to an exclusive group of distributors. The group is restricted to 40 members. We provide an industry leading catalogue, online catalogue and a complete software solution. Our aim is ensure that our members can be the most efficient in the industry. Because of the unique way we operate, we are able to negotiate extraordinary discounts from our suppliers giving our members a financial advantage over their competitors. Our strict editorial policies mean that all product selected for the catalogue are competitively priced, maintaining a high return for the distributor and giving their customer outstanding value for money.
At PAGE we vet potential members. Membership is a two-way street. We want you to grow so that the group grows. We only want members that can make a realisable profit out of membership. You won’t of course see it, but it will be shown as an increase in margin over 12 months. To our knowledge no Page Distributor has a GP less than 30% and some trade in the high 30’s. The smaller your turnover the more valuable our negotiated discounts will be. We estimate that if your turnover is somewhere from £200K – £300K we would expect to save you 4-5% off your bottom-line. As you grow and your turnover increases then that saving percentage will reduce. But you will always be expected to make a profit from PAGE membership.
