OUR DATA
Our product and supplier data is the envy of the industry. The data that we collate for the new catalogue is double checked by suppliers and goes through various internal checking routines at PAGE before being released to our members. The reason for this exhaustive process is that you can rely on the data that we give you.
The majority of suppliers guarantee their prices (over 90%) for the duration of the catalogue life*. This gives you continuity and the reassurance that the prices in the catalogue will give you the expected profit for the whole of the catalogue year. To back this up we give data updates on a regular basis notifying you of any supplier and product changes.
The bottom-line is that the information we give you is always up to date and accurate.
*Price guarantees are given on the basis that they can be changed if there are major currency or raw material increases. Changes have to be approved by PAGE prior to general release
TRADING CRITERIA
Unlike every other catalogue group, we don’t charge to have products featured in the catalogue. When selecting products for the catalogue, we only choose products that can justify themselves on their own merits and the service of its supplier.
Our attitude is simple. Our aim is to negotiate the best deal for our members and the only way to do that is to invite the best suppliers to give the best prices for their best products and has nothing to do with who can afford to promote their products.
We don’t impose a supplier upon our members, but hopefully, as we have already done the leg work, you would choose the selected supplier with confidence.
Of course there is a downside for not charging suppliers. We charge all of our costs against our members. This will therefore make us initially more expensive. But by the time you add up all of our services and negotiated discounts we are confident that you will regard us as good value for money.
RETROSPECTIVE DISCOUNT SCHEME
Membership automatically entitles members to be part of our retrospective discount scheme.
After a full catalogue year we ask our suppliers to give us a 1% retrospective discount on the group’s total turnover (excluding exceptions).
We collect and collate the supplier payments and then distribute them back to our members as a discount against the catalogue.
In the year (2007-2008) the discount worked out to be £1.23 per catalogue purchased. Not bad when you consider the catalogue currently costs £1.85 each – NET cost to you 62p!
HARD COPY & WEB CATALOGUES
Our highly acclaimed PAGE catalogue is 160 pages produced on recycled stock featuring over 1200 product lines.
Our website is a derivative of the PromoServe Quick order portal and features all of the catalogue products and also comes equipped with one click technology where you are able to upload a logo allowing you to view a virtual sample.
The site also offers a quote request basket where enquiries are channelled to which ever email address you give us. A certain amount of self design and content management (excluding products) is enabled via a control panel login.

ADMINISTRATION SOFTWARE
PAGE offers (as part of the package) PAGE/PS which is a version of PromoServe developed especially for us.
We also offer installation and training as well as a helpline for day to day issues. The software is also upgradable to PAGE Gold which has all the features of Full PromoServe.
This software has now got to the stage where it is considered industry standard by most of the bigger distributors and suppliers. PAGE/PS offers a fully integrated administration system, which will handle all of your customers, suppliers and prospects. All quotes, confirmations, purchase orders and invoices can be produced independently, or alternatively combined in a job bag, all within the CRM function of the system.
Possibly the most impressive, and generally underutilised part of the system, is the report generator. Reports can be custom made to show a myriad of information.
PREFERENTIAL DEALS WITH SUPPLIERS
Because of our exclusive trading philosophy we are able to negotiate more aggressively to insure that your cost prices are industry best.
Thanks to the feedback we get from our members we restrict selection to those suppliers that you can rely on.
Also, because products are featured in the catalogue, suppliers will be keen to set up trading accounts as soon as possible (subject to their to normal accounts criteria). This will minimise the number of pro-forma invoices you are expected to pay.
NETWORK
Our philosophy of having a restricted number of distributors within the group has helped form a family. We have meetings and organise steering group committees so that your combined knowledge is used when producing the catalogue and other services.
We offer a help desk where we are able to sort out any queries you may have. These range from software issues (championed by Peter our IT guru), sourcing challenges (handled by Christine and Su), issues with suppliers and products (George and Brian are able to offer impartial advice and even liaise with suppliers on your behalf)
This also works both ways, we are also available to suppliers to liaise with members on any issues
YOUR INPUT
To make the perfect catalogue we need your help. A steering group is set up to guide and advise us on the whole catalogue and product / supplier selection criteria. All members are invited.
Instrumental in guiding us to the perfect catalogue is the members' survey. This is where you are able to give comments on the best and worst, products and suppliers. Plus, any ideas for the catalogue or suggestions for any other services that you would like PAGE to offer. These suggestions are collated and discussed at a steering meeting, suppliers and products are dropped and new ones are introduced. We discuss all the points raised on the surveys. The conclusions (all minuted) form the selection criteria.
The final steering group meeting is open to all members. The selected range for the catalogue is on display and members are invited to make comments and suggestions.
Conclusion, we produce a catalogue that we want you to be proud of!
METHODOLOGY
